Highlights
• A cute, cartoony, 3D world packed with lively characters, cozy environments, and lots of details.
• Smooth camera moves orbit a spherical landscape, revealing new scenes and stories.
Challenges
Animating on a spherical world created unique challenges compared to working on a flat plane. Movements, lighting, modeling, and camera work all had to be adapted to fit a globe shaped environment.
The project also required a large number of environments, characters, vehicles, and objects, which added significant asset creation and coordination.
Because the world was round, the camera needed to move and rotate in unusual ways, requiring careful planning to keep each scene readable and visually smooth.
Constraints
• The spherical world limited how scenes could be staged and required custom solutions for movement, lighting, and camera angles.
• The schedule was quite short, which meant the asset creation, animation, and rendering workflows had to be highly efficient from the start.
• The soft, cartoony look came with strict stylistic rules, so every character, environment, and prop had to match the same playful tone while still supporting the story.
